🤝 Collaborative Community Theatre Initiative

We’re excited to introduce a unique and values-driven collaboration bringing together a powerful network of creatives, facilitators, and community leaders — with the shared vision of nurturing confidence, creativity, and authentic expression within British Muslim communities.

This initiative brings together:

  • 🎭 Christina Tsoutsi – Founder of Beyond Borders Theatre Group, Senior Facilitator at Nottingham Playhouse, and an award-winning Theatre Maker known for her powerful work with migrant and marginalised communities through autobiographical and community theatre.

  • 🧠 Adam Ahmed – Coach and Mentor, supporting personal transformation, confidence building, and emotional wellbeing through holistic coaching and experiential learning.

  • 🕌 Himmah Hub – A grassroots community centre based in the heart of Hyson Green, dedicated to social justice, education, and empowerment, especially among Muslim and ethnic minority groups.

  • 🎥 Adam Ali – Videographer, Creative Director, and digital storyteller passionate about capturing real stories that inspire, uplift, and reflect the soul of the community.

  • 🌙 HalfLight: The Third Space for Muslims – A cultural platform and creative network exploring spirituality, identity, belonging, and self-expression through art, poetry, and performance.

  • 🧵 Muslim Creator Community (MCC) – A grassroots initiative launched in the East Midlands to bring together Muslim creatives — filmmakers, photographers, designers, marketers, performers, writers, and digital storytellers — into one vibrant, supportive space.

Together, we are co-creating a programme of theatre and acting workshops designed specifically for British Muslims of all ages and backgrounds. These workshops will run over 4 to 8 weeks, blending storytelling, improvisation, group work, and creative coaching — with a final performance or showcase that reflects the journeys and voices of the participants.

Our shared aim is to create safe, expressive, and healing spaces where participants can reclaim their voice, tell their stories, and take centre stage in shaping how their identities are seen, heard, and valued.

We believe that theatre isn’t just art — it’s a form of transformation, resistance, and connection. And we’re building a space where your voice matters.
